Faculty & Academic Governance

Faculty & Academic Governance

At Northern University of Theology and Apostolic Leadership, our academic environment is shaped by a faculty and leadership team deeply committed to both theological excellence and real-world ministry engagement.

Distinguished Faculty

Our faculty members are scholar-practitioners—highly qualified educators who hold doctoral degrees (Ph.D., Th.D., D.Min., or Ed.D.) from accredited institutions and who bring decades of combined experience in pastoral ministry, church leadership, missions, counseling, and theological scholarship.

They serve not only as instructors but also as mentors, walking alongside students through their academic journey, spiritual formation, and vocational discernment. Faculty members are active contributors to their local and global faith communities, ensuring that instruction remains contextually relevant, biblically sound, and practically applicable.

Key Characteristics of Our Faculty:

  • Doctoral-level academic credentials in theology, ministry, education, and related fields
  • Experience in apostolic and pastoral leadership roles
  • Published authors, conference speakers, and ministry innovators
  • Committed to student-centered, Spirit-led education
  • Multilingual and cross-cultural backgrounds for global theological engagement

Academic Governance

The university maintains a robust governance structure that ensures academic integrity, institutional transparency, and strategic oversight. This structure is rooted in shared leadership and spiritual accountability.

  • University Senate:
Serves as the primary academic body responsible for curriculum development, faculty standards, academic policies, and assessment frameworks. The Senate includes faculty representatives, academic deans, and key administrative leaders.

  • Office of the Provost:
Oversees the daily operations of academic affairs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, accreditation standards, and theological values. The Provost serves as the chief academic officer and liaison between the faculty and executive leadership.

  • Board of Trustees:
Provides overall institutional governance, spiritual oversight, and fiduciary responsibility. The Board ensures that the university fulfills its mission with integrity and adheres to its charter, bylaws, and faith commitments.

A Collaborative Ethos

Our governance model is built on collaboration, accountability, and spiritual discernment. Decisions are made prayerfully, strategically, and in alignment with our commitment to Christ-centered education, servant leadership, and apostolic vision.
